September 25, 2018: The Outcasts Have a Place in the Vineyard

      Matthew 21:23–32
Jesus' parable about two sons who don't do what they say reveals surprises in the reign of God, such as prostitutes and tax collectors going before others into God's kingdom. In the reading from Ezekiel the people question whether the ways of the Lord are unfair; instead they are to repent and turn to the Lord.

September 18, 2011: The Scandal of Grace
      Matthew 20:1-16
The theme this week is God's generosity. God's generosity challenges the common and personal assumptions about God.  For the ancient prophet Jonah, God's generosity offends Jonah's sense of justice when God does not punish the people of Nineveh. In the story Jesus tells, the people are offended at God's generosity when God gives to the late comer the same generosity given to the ones who arrived early. How do you and I react to God's generosity in today's world? Does it offend? Please join us for worship this Sunday!

September 11, 2011: The tenth anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center.
      Romans 14:1-12
One of the Bible readings is from Romans 14. In this section the author, Paul, reminds the reader “We are the Lord's”. Even after a decade most of us still do not comprehend the events of September 11, 2001. We still struggle. Yet Paul, along with others in the Bible, reminds us that in the midst of things we do not understand, we are the Lord's. Join us for this unique worship and message entitled, “Break The Mold – We Are The Lord’s”

September 4, 2011: Break the Mold - Seeking Our Neighbors Highest Good
      Romans 13:8-14

The obligation of Christians is to love one another and so fulfill the heart and goal of the law. Clothes make the person as we "put on the Lord Jesus Christ" and live today in light of the future God has in store for us.
